Any one want a TRD GT-86 for about 6 grand off MSRP?

I like this one. The TRD stripe, the red interior trim, the small spoiler. Altho with the 4 banger Supra, and next gen 86 coming down the pipeline prices could get lowe

Who knows. Predictions are the 4 cylinders MSRP will be around 40-45k. So 10-15k more than the most expensive 86.

I just think it’ll have an effect on used 86 prices when 4 cylinder Supras come along.

One surprising thing about these is how loud they are stock. My coworker’s wife has one, and he occasionally drives it to work. We went to work one day, and the drone reminded me of my straight piped FiST. His wife also thought it didn’t like going 70 due to how loud it is at 70.

Are you talking aesthetically, feel of the materials, or fit an finish?

Because as far as the aesthetic design goes I really like them.

I test drove one of these before I bought my 86GT (Hakone) and I wouldn't say that I was particularly impressed with all the TRD bits. I also think it's ugly. That being said, once it gets cheaper than the GT trim, why not buy it? Although for DD usage I'd rather have the smaller wheels and higher ride.

They must have had the ‘performance’ exhaust. The stock with the stock exhaust (many ‘special editions’ have an exhaust) the exhaust is very quiet. Scion had an especially bad ‘sport’ exhaust for a few years that sounded like garbage.

Yeah, the TRD version has louder exhaust. It sounds pretty good from the outside, but it drones pretty bad on the inside, largely due to the stupid sound pipe (a little tube from the engine bay to the cabin). AFAIK, p lugging the sound pipe in the passenger foot well with something  does a lot to fix that.

I completely disagree, I did 100k miles on my FRS, I never had an issue with the interior. The seats are one of the best seats I’ve ever sat in, better than the recaros in my GT350. The arm rests on the door are comfortable , but the lack of arm rests in the center is annoying. Layout of controls is intuitive.  Materials are typical for $26k car.
